Toowoomba Cycling Club is holding a 4x race as part of the Toowoomba Rotary "Stampede" festival being held at the city's showgrounds. The 4x track is being built as a permant fixture in the grounds, marking a big step forward for mountain biking in the region.
All proceeds for the Stampede will be given to charity, so there is a surcharge for entry into the grounds (for riders and spectators, see the entry forms for more details).
One big thing to note is that $1000 in cash prizes is up for grabs (spread accross different classes).

This Sunday the 12th of September Fat Tyre Flyers are holding an Enduro MTB race in Kirth Kiln, Victoria.
The race is a long course format that’s ideal for Mountain bike riders of all levels to have a go at.
The course is mostly fire trails with the stronger classes being pushed over 60km. There is also a beginner 20km race and intermediate 35km race.
We really want to try and promote this sport to get more people challenging themselves at races such as this so come and have a go. For more info go to www.ftf.com.au. |

For those that don't know, the South East QLD champs were held yesterday. Racing was as usual nice and close, I'll post results as soon as they are available.
Throughout the day I managed to take a few photos. Here they are:/_thb_179_7998.jpg)
