Tasmanian National Round
(4 comments) (link) Thursday, 22-September-2005  11:05 AM - by DOM
Tasmania is set to host the only combined downhill, cross country and mountain cross event in the 2005/06 National Series.

Take the opportunity to check out Australia’s latest purpose built mountain bike park. The Glenorchy Mountain Bike Park is only 15 minutes out from Hobart’s city centre. The MTB Park was created with the help of world-renowned course designer Glen Jacobs (Mudcow Visions). Think Sydney Olympics, World Cup, World Championships - Glen has designed over 150 courses in 17 countries, yet he calls this, “The most exciting project for years - the location, the tracks, the people. The place is set to become a major mountain biking destination. There is nothing else like it in Australia.”

Thanks to Luke Chiu for all the information.

Boyer wraps up NSW State DH series
(1 comments) (link) Monday, 5-September-2005  9:52 PM - by Squidly Didly
Not only was it the State Champs but it was also the last race of the series, so a good or bad weekend would've had double the consequences. Despite the chillingly cold and wet weather, Brad Kelly walked away with the gold with Smithson and Boyer filling out the top 3. It was still a good enough performance for Boyer to wrap up what was a very interesting series including 6 different winners in 'elite men' of the 7 rounds.

Round 7 results:
1 - Brad KELLY
2 - Adam SMITHSON
3 - Ricky BOYER
4 - Brock NEWLING
5 - Adam DOSSETER

Full results from the weekend now up at www.ctmbc.net
