The worlds fastest riders come from Australia. Aussies are on every podium all over the world. They all started at the same place though - The Australian National Series.
'Compression' shows the great culture and atmopshere that the australian National Series is renowned for, and follows the highs and lows of some of the worlds fastest riders pushing it to, and some times past the limit, for the overall series win.
'Compression', a film brought to you by Buzz Monkey Energy and Farkin.Net, manages to squeeze 5+ months of racing and riding into an incredibly action packed film. It is a spectacle to watch, and will have you sitting back in awe.
A film by Sam Davies. |

For all you south east Queenslanders we're less than a month out from the start of the 2007 Sunshine Series Downhill. Round 1 this season is being hosted by the D'Aguilar Range Cycling Club (DRCC) and Ashgrove Cycles at their venue at 1050 Upper Brookfield Road (UBD Reference: 135 R16) on Sunday April 1st.
To get the track up to scratch and ready to race there will be a working bee at the venue this Sunday, March 11th. Work kicks off around 8am and workers will be on site for most of the day, bring your own tools, food and water.
DRCC are still chasing transport drivers and marshals for race day, if you can help or know someone who's willing, contact Gav Finlay on 3366 0379 during business hours or fire off an email to; ashgrovecycles@bigpond.com |

Two Wheel Promotions:We were hoping to fit in another round on the 11th March but we were unable to get all our transport etc two weekends in a row so the event will be cancelled. Our calendar is pretty full with the start of the Sunshine Series so we probably won't be able to fit another race in now till much later in the year. Bill has plans to build some more downhill tracks with a much longer course in mind. Who knows you may get to ride this new course at the next downhill race we have at Canungra. Results from the downhill on 4th March are on the TWP website, just scroll down to the very bottom of the results page. |

 | Downhill Mountain Biking Returning to Hotham (12 comments) (link) Thursday, 1-March-2007 1:58 PM - by Scott | |

Downhill Mountain Biking will be returning to Hotham (in the north-east of Victoria) for the rest of the summer with the Village Chair opening across the March Long Weekend (March 10-12) and throughout Easter (April 7-9). During the March Long Weekend mountain biking will be available down the easy rated run of the Davenport Access Trail. This is a long, gentle access track that winds its way along a vertical drop of about 300 metres. And then, on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Easter, the additional 'Village Loop' trail will be open, an awesome intermediate ride that has a huge variety of switchbanks and small jumps. There is also some technical cornering on the upper section of the ride.
Ticket prices represent the best value of any of the Australian Alpine Resorts - $15 for a half-day, $25 for a full day and $35 for two full days. The chairlift operates from 11am until 4pm. |
