The 1st Round of the Queensland MTNX Series took place on the weekend at the National Series Round track, Illinbah. Atmosphere was high after riders saw the slight changes to the track after the recent rain fall, which damaged the last corner. The new finish now consisted off a tight turn into a drop off and small rock garden before sprinting their way to the finish.

| Jongewaard and Smith reign in the Lowan Otway Odyssey

South Australian and Olympic hopeful Chris Jongewaard led the 100km Lowan Otway Odyssey MTB Marathon from start to finish to establish himself as the pre-eminent mountain biker in Australia at present yesterday. A very strong field including 2004 Olympian Sid Taberlay, World 24 hour Champion Tinker Juarez, defending champion Murray Spink and Australian representative Dan McConnell were put to the sword from the very first climb of the day.

20 May - as per the selection policy. Looks like this is a list of Juniors that have guaranteed selection, more selections to come after the Oceanias. |
| Ride Calendar - A good cause

Ride Calendar is a non-profit initiative focusing on international riders whove been injured in riding, to raise money for medical research. A project from Design by Peppi, the calendar is based on illustrations of athletes performing at their former best and is supported by international icons Steve Peat and Oenone Wood.
The primary aim of Ride Calendar is to raise money for two foundations Wings for Life and the Brain Foundation. Profits will go towards research and development into spinal cord injury and brain trauma.
