rules are rules. there probably came a time when posting things up for sale without any mention of the condition of the items & all the other necessary info relating to it became too much for people to become disinterested in looking at the posts & having a potenial buyer for it. I would certainly pass on buying an item without knowing its history of use & where it's being sold from.
