Kazakh Federation spokesman "Oh yeah, I think he can ride the Olympics next year if he wants to" Joke!

Stay tuned, I expect the UCI will have something to say here!

"'Vino' will be barred from racing with a ProTour team for four years."

That probably hurts a bit more than the one year!

In light of his suspension ,Vino has decided to retire. What a shame he had to resort to blood doping, I have always admired his fighting spirit and ability to pull something out of the bag.

I wonder just how long he was "pulling something out of the bag" though.
1 year is pityful, tyler hamilton got 2 years thats the precident. The Kazac cycling federation just bowed to pressure of the UCI. If they were left to there own devices I'm sure no suspension would have been handed down.
Now this will get news coverage and further blight the sport.

Unless he was still able to race the tour in a non protour team (it's leaving the protour right?). Moot point though, given he has retired.
