How do they compare to EBC reds for bite ryan?

Not as bitey as EBC reds, similar power at the end of the stroke though and with more control. There's actually a softer compound available for Hayes pads (Hayes Cable compound on the a2z website) that apparently gives a bit more bite at the expense of wear.

What are the retaining clips like? EBCs are a great pad but the clips are shit.
