Hey mate, i would get in contact with the original buliders of the DH track up there, because i know that there was a lot of man hours put in there, to have people come and change their track.

I would also be hesitant about posting its where abouts because the residents there can easily shut it down if there are too many cars/ riders on that no through road.

Mate if this were true, I'd be very keen to help as there is so much potential for even more trails in here. You could easily get a several km long downhill track in here and it's Shuttle friendly!

However the land in question is owned by Boral as part of the buffer around the Stonyfell Quarry, the police have a lease for the shooting range at the bottom. Are you sure you spoke to the owners of the land or just the of the nearby house?

Also this land has some of the schmickest native veg so close to the metro areas, it's such an awesome and quiet place to ride. I'd be making extra sure you know what you're doing. Like I said, there's so much potential here, but I'd hate to see it raped and exploited through senseless trail building.
