Beginner Techniques

Hi all!
I am new to mtb, actually newish at riding altogether! I have just bought a Giant Yukon. Can anyone give me some tips on basic manoeuvres such as gutter hopping and log crossing? Thanks.

Scroll down the page toward the middle of the list. There are some videos by a woman who gives clear instruction for basic skills.

I like some of the West Coast Style TV podcasts. They have some free samples from their instructional DVDs featuring Elladee Brown, Joan Jones, Ryan Leech etc. Do a search in iTunes for the podcasts. West Coast Style have a Web site too.
