Mountain X will have dual slalom added this year, with mountain X becoming harder to ride and master and our riders becoming world standard we are adding another dimension to the short gravity events. The series was to start on February 16 17 at Sydney Olympic Park but the Mountain X track upgrade has been delayed due to wet weather and the dual slalom is trying to be run in the multistory P1 carpark (yes lifts up and race down the down ramp, its only 5 floors) but having to find new dates so we do not clash with ANZ (Telstra) stadium. This means rounds 1 & 2 of the dual slalom will be Newton’s Playground at Mt Panorama Bathurst. Mountain X should get off the ground at Sydney Olympic Park Monster Mountain X with round 1 and round 3 of the dual slalom (hopefully in the car park) in April. At the end of April Round 2 of the mountain X will be at Ebenezer. May should have been the Golburn (Green Grocers) with a mountain X and dual slalom, but Stromlo (was down as June) is looking into giving the new Worlds Mountain X track (the one with the rocks) a try before the little worlds round thingy in August so we will be moving dates to fit in with construction. To make it more worthwhile Jeff Hughes from Canberra has asked for the dual slalom round 4 and has a few ideas at Stromlo Forest Park. The Championship in both dual slalom and mountain X will be in Kurrajong in July if the dates work out.
