ah man that VTR 250 is badass!! why don't they import those to the states  i'd love to get my girlfriend one of those, go nicely with my VT500 Ascot and VTR1000 Firestorm
waking the dead threads now are we
It's a Pantera, huzzah! I want one just because of the name... just like I want a Norco Speed Metal for the sticker, there's a few other bikes out there that have cool names, but I'll shut up now.
On another note, how'd the Velocity rim going, cracked the spoke holes yet?

It's good to see an old skool Gt frame complete with old skool Velocity Deep-V rim. Love the ano blue seat clamp :)
This reminds me of my early years MTB'ing, with all my friends and I running Deep V rims on the rear because we trashed our OEM stuff. Those rims were enviable back then! Viva La OldSchool :D

Yes, and I still want one! I am a freak for old GT's, there's 4 in my house right now :o But anyway, for those that don't recognise the lame pun in my post...

ahahaha, my bike. well not exactly. i dunno wat year it is but its blue and has ritchey handlebars indy sl shox and a FIRST headstem. the headstem and handlebars i changed from retail to the ones above. at the moment its got a !nasty! crank problem, creaking and shit. i need a new crank but im not paying 200 - 300 bucks for a crank when i can live with the noise. *creak* *peddle* *creak* *peddle* *creak* :D

Nah, it's a Velocity Deep V. Old skool....
Like Rik said, it's from when i trashed the OEM Mavic XC rim years ago trying to do trials (ie 4 ft drop to flat all the time).
It's been a tough bloody rim since, i've hammered the shit out of it, and it's still holding on.
Give it time, it'll crack at each spoke hole. Well, that's what three of mine did
