Right here's the question...

what pair of nicks is better far by none to stop the old pubis bone on rides feeling like it's been riding on a cement block?

I've got a few pairs of netti's but they seem to feel is the back of your butt that needs all the attention for padding...

However that is where they are wrong!

It's the front loading section that feels the brunt me thinks.

Anyone else have that dillema?

And anything that doesn't look like a incontenince pad would be terriffic too! :)

Fox Sierra Shorts are pretty comfy as are the diva's - another option may be to get a specialized womens saddle - the geometry is fantastic and i haven't had any problems since i started using my lithia gel
best of luck with this problem - it is an ongoing one with us female riders

Sugoi's or Giordano's will be your best bet. They have a much better chamois (in shape and in design) than the Nettis.

I totally agree with Laura, go for a women's specific saddle before thinking about shorts. I have one on both my bikes and the other day I hopped on the boyfriend's bike and oh my god it was so uncomfy! The saddle was digging into all the wrong spots!
As for shorts, whatever you do stay away from Sugoi chamois, it's like you're wearing a nappy!!! I'm quite happy with the Zoic chamois (it might be because they make women specific and actually have a clue about these things).

Correction: it's the Pearl Izumi chamois that's like a nappy, not the Sugoi one (I was having a moment!)

get a specialized womens saddle

Just another quick vote for this ^^^^. My wife went through the whole thing of changing nicks until she got the right saddle. Looked weird, initially felt horrible and hard (her words) but very soon extremely comfortable.

Another thing to look at would be your overall bike setup as you may be positioned in a way that's simply puting too much pressure in the wrong places. There are a number of professional "setup" places about such as "cycle fit". Again, my wife did that and reckoned it was the best money she'd spent on her cycling in a good long time.

Cheers
