hi, im wondering if anyone ever rides the dirt crit races put in by full gas promotions? They are run at westgate park thursday nights.
If anyone has ever been in one what's the track like? Light DH, XC etc.

i went last week and i'll be going every week i can. the course at it's longest is 3.2 km. lots of very tight singletrack, some fairly techy bits and a few nice sharp pinches. very worthy, for $10 you can't go wrong. it's more like a short xc race than a crit in that it's not done on time but laps. we did three laps and a lap is about 10 mins. chris winn holds the record of 7.59 followed by rob eva at 8.30 or something along those lines. but yeah, get out there if you can. fairly decent prizes as well.

I've ridden the course & "raced" once.
Grover's description is spot on. Tight singletrack in places with a few interesting obstacles. Also has a few sandy patches to watch out for.
Take your lights, give it a go.
