"After doing some online research and consulting with my LBS, I settled on making the change to an ISIS standard bottom bracket paired with a set of FSA V-Drive Xtreme cranks, certified by both Pepsi Max and Mountain Dew to be the most "EXTREME!" crank your money can buy (actually I made that up)...."

Check it out here ('/forums/viewlinks.php?mode=jump&link=45').

Ive had mine for nearly 8 months. i love them! although i probably dont ride as hard as you guys, I definatly crash as hard, and more often. The only problem I had was that my 'personal mechanic' (read partner who does'nt know what hes doing but thinks he does) didn't do up the crank tight enough and at Oceanas in the 4X one crank fell off!!! Yeah it was pretty funny...

good cranks though- id recommend them to anyone...wouldn't recommend my mechanic though...!!! :D

You guys have definitely had better luck than I have with em (saying this for the 40000th time I know). However, for the price, they ARE good value.

I'm starting to wonder if the damage I did to mine was related to them being on a full rigid for 6 months though... on which I dropped to flat, jumped, cased, and more...

Yeah socket, not sure if any set of cranks are up to that sort of punishment. If you bash/crash anything you have to keep in mind that one day it will break.

So do you think that having ridden them on a rigid would have made any difference?

it all comes down to hard you ride and your style, maybe you go way bigger than any of us so you happen to break more parts, maybe we're are a little smoother so we have been lucky enough not to of had any issues. thank you for your input.

are ya being sarcastic Socket?
After a while, riding rigid will wear everything down, but depends on riding style and riding type.

nah his not, when it was ridgid he did 5ft drops on it cased a big amount of jumps on it and probably did alot of other punishing thing to the bike while it was rigid that i don't know about

I've heard that Rennie has killed heaps of cranks cause of his powerful riding style.
