SE 700C Lager, Opinions Please

Ok i have just ended my illustrious BMX career and whilst getting an empty box at the local shop to pack it into for the buyer to collect i mentioned to the owner i was in the market for a single speed road bike. They mentioned the SE range and like the look of the 700c Lager model. Anyone out there got one of these and your opinions.

And yes i did a search and no results returned so either they arent worth talking about or im the only gumby interested in them :D

They are what they are.. a cheapie so that you can (a) see if you like riding fixed, and (b) a cheap commuter that you wont cry over when it gets stolen or damaged at the bike rack (ALA what happened in the downstairs bikerack when a college backed OVER the bike rack!:mad:)

..if you are looking for a cheap SS/fixed roadie, I'd try the KHS Flite.. Cheap and strong and the parts are probably a little better than the SE.. But the Lager would be a fine workhorse!

Their a pretty sweet bike, I wanted one for ages but never had the cash. Rode it all the time at the bikeshop I worked at and loved it, according to the se website theres one called a premium brew which is more awesome for a bit more cash
