Hi All
For my first post i thought I would introduce myself
yes i joined a while ago but these forums are a bit new to me.
Back in 2005 for my 50th birthday i bought a Kona Stinky downhill bike ( No it wasn't a Midlife Crisis ) I had been out a few time on a Trek Y3? with a great bunch of guys and throughly enjoyed it, but decided I needed something a bit sturdier. Loved the Stinky had been out on it about 10 times when I had a tumble and went head first into a tree. Two fractured Vertebrae and 8 weeks later they told me I should look for a tamer sport.... but I just couldn't part with My Stinky. I thought I would wait a while and go again, trouble was when i did the passion was gone. I took to riding to work on the old Trek and stored the Stinky in the spare room. I just recently retired the Trek and bought a Giant OCR Alliance Comp road bike, which I enjoy very much. I was feeling a bit guilty about the Stinky just sitting there and still wanted to enjoy the bush so I have decided to try and sell the Stinky and have a crack at Xcountry riding, have been looking at a Norco Fluid 3 or a Giant Trance X2 and was wondering what people have to say about them. I dont plan to give it heaps but would like something light and good quality for round 2000 that i can enjoy

welcome...as far as the new bikes are concerned i couldnt tell you exactly but the trance 2 has a very good reputation...i havent heard of anything about the fluid it might just be because they are perfect or because no one has one but they have a reasonable part spec but not as good as the trance from a quick glimpse...it will be interesting to hear if anyone else has feedback on the fluid because it looks alright very similar to the trance but with a different chainstay pivot...also you might have more luck with answers in the parts and stuff section so try posting there:)
