ITEM: '05 manitou nixon platinums 0mm-145mm (IT)
LOCATION: melbourne, will post you pay postage or work a deal.
PRICE: ....... i have no idea, since not many seem to be around for sale, but the running cost for a light weight, long travel fork.. seems to be aroudn 300, so... start at 280ono. now 250 ono now now now 230
CONDITION:
the forks are mechanicaly A1, all adjustments work fine, and they feel good (once you get used to the feeling of SPV), they are fairly scuffed up on the lowers, no major deep scratches, the stickers are missing from one leg.
the staunchion do not have a scratch on them.
INFO:
These forks pretty much came out as a light weight sherman, they have:
-IT travel adjust system, which mounts to your handle bar, flick a switch and compress them to where you want them, and the fork stays there with out changing the spring rate! quite handy for climbing, drop them down to 60, then when you get to top flick switch pull up and they extend back to the 145mm for the way back down!
-They have SPV evolve dampening.
-they are a completly air sprung, and air adjustable.
-QR drop outs.
weigh 1.9kg
I used them for mainly light freeride, and single track work.. an example of the kind of tracks i rode on them would be similar to things like Travs track at you yangs. they work on this kind of thing well, i would not recomend them for DH use, .. they are just not made for it, and dont feel like they would cop the abuse, like a dedicated DH fork.
