Well, decided to return to mtbiking after many years away, I just took delivery of an 07 Kona Kikapu Delux, so plan to take the family down to Lysterfield at the weekend and have a play.

I'm 39, living in Wheelers Hill, Melbourne, will see you out there...

Yeah mate, thats my real passion, its a 450 SXF, just about to be sold though, I'm going back to 2 stroke's, less maintenance.

arn't four strokes less maintenence? because you have to change the pistons and put oil into the fuel and things?

Run of the mill 4T's yes, but these new MX and enduro 4T's are highly tuned, I have to change oil and filers on mine every 3 hrs :eek: if you dont they go bang very quickly.

2T is much easier, gearbox oil every 20hrs or so, rings every 40hrs, and you can do that yourself, I dont even know where to start with 4T's, timing chains, shim clearances, and they have to be spot-on, otherwise they dont even start.

Great for Mono's, but i prefer riding them to working on them ;)
