The funnelweb track is down the western end of Wandandian Road. Follow the firetrail all the way west untill you get to a an intersection that looks like a "Y" with another route through the middle.
The furthest left track goes to the pick up point, the furthest right track goes to the top, and the middle bit seems to be a parking area for less off-road capable cars.
You'll want a fourbie or ute to get up there, as you need a low gear to get up the big hills.
Entrance to the top of the DH track is on the left(south) of the fire trail, one turn below the limestone cliffs.

Any details about the event - shuttle times, rego, parking, food, how to get there. Who would believe that with 3 days to go the riders still have no information. We could all assume it is as per previous event but you know what they say about assuming anything.

Hey, it's our track and we're providing volunteers and we've heard fuck all!
The reason you wont find anything on the BOE site is, he pulled the pin last weekend. However Steve Humphreys has assured our pres that he and NSWMTB, has everything under control.
Anyone that's ridden our track knows, its not a very logistic friendly track, (shuttling, rego and parking, communication issues due to terain) and we've been hounding Stu to come down for months, so he could have a look at what he's got to deal with and work with us and our experience of the area, to sort out a plan of attack, shit... we even suggested he come down and have a look, before he put his dick on the block to say he'd host a state DH round here. All to no avail.
A few of us are going to bunt the track Friday, then turn up early Sat morning and hopefully get some direction from there.
So, if things dont happen the way you want them to over the weekend, please dont blame SCUM. We've fullfilled our obligations, in that, the track is in awesome condition, we've even added an extra 20 tons of soil (and serious bobcat work) to the down ramp of the gap jump, so it is safe for any level of rider to hit it at any speed. We'll bunt the track and provide volunteers over the weekend, anything else, is out of our hands.

this year there wont be the caffuffle that happened last time with everyone rapeing an pillaging. no scorched earth policy in the main pit areas please.as that led to some major logistical problems. its a difficult area as were all aware. but the raceing is worth it!

Hey a couple of questions:
The people that have already payed and there money might have been stolen, do you know if they have paid still?
I'm guessing that no cars apart from shuttle cars and official cars will be allowed on the shuttle fireroad?
I don't think it will need much rain for the event to be cancelled because of the fireroad so will it be posted up on here? (forecast is good though).
Where will people park? There's no room down the bottom or at the top really.
Have BOE left completely? I really hope so, entries up 4 or 5 days is a bit perfedic or though i'm sure there doing a better job than what I would do.
Anyway hope everything goes well because the track is definately worth it IMO. Great job SCUM. Also do you know about the fallen trees at the top turn around point and on the fireroad close to the top?

How much rain does there have to be, before the road is closed for shuttles?
And the round is canceled?

Have attched word file to answer questions.
Sucks that you guys (NSWMTB & SCUM) have been left in the lurch at the last minute. We're sure you'll do a great job anyway. Everyone needs to chill out about the rain, not much anyone can do about that. Just wondering if Stu has come good with the medals from the Coffs round that were to be handed out at Nowra? Good luck and see you at Nowra.

the road has been cleared near the turn around at the bottom of the track and should now accomadate cars rego tents etc. The tree has been cleared from the top turnaround point also we will be bunting the track friday afternoon. We had some heavy winds last week and will make sure the track/road is clear etc for the weekend.

Oh Yes parking, this time parking will be past the finish on Hawthorn Road, The events centre will be at the finish on Hawthorn Road, do not park on the road before the finish only after the finish.
Does this mean that everyone is parked in until after the completion of racing or is there a way around the finish area?

With a couple of marshals (in contact with radios) on Hawthorn rd, there should be numerous opportunities for cars to use Hawthorn rd during shuttling, seeing as though the average round trip for a shuttle vehicle is 15 - 20 mins. That's our (SCUM) thoughts anyway. Oh...the end of the track doesn't jump out onto the road anymore either, you drop down that last section before the road, then into a left hand berm that runs you along the side of the road. We will have that orange barrier netting running along the road, allowing car access whilst riding is in progress.

Sweet, thanks for that.
I was worried that there may be a shitfight with people from earlier classes wanting to leave before the u19's and Elite finals etc.
Sounds like a much better setup than last time and should make for bigger crowds at the finish and lower sections of the track.
See you guys Saturday morning.

Nick we are chasing all this up but the entries go through a third party that has nothing to do with either NSWMTB or Bright Orange.
It was the NSWMTB site that was hacked. Other than email addresses for the opt in email groups we don't take or keep any personal information on the NSWMTB site.
To be on the safe side bring a copy of your online payment confirmation email though.

Just a note for all those who pre-enter
Please make sure you print out the reciept and bring it with you.
It really does make the registration process a whole lot easier and faster.
Also has the added benefit of getting you up the hill quicker.
No one will be permitted to practice without an issued number plate. No exceptions !!! (I'm not being a prick, it's an insurance thing)
Thanks
