i wouldnt suggest useing heat to soften the metal to bend it back. it will make the whole rim useless. theres not much you can do. is the rim so dented that the tire is imposible to keep on/get on? or is it just a couple of dings here and there. if theres just a couple down worry. but you could try some kind of vise to try and fix it. anyway hope it helps.

Rims are one of those things that once they go beyond a point, their gone:eek:. Most alloy bike parts are heat treated for strength so if you disturb the treatment, you weaken them anyway:mad:. Rimes and/or wheels aren't that expensive anymore:), depending on your standards but don't compromise whats keeping you alive..!! Wheels, brakes etc..... :)
