Nice Peach, I rate yah bike at 7.5.
It's better than mine and anything better than my ride scores a perfect 10. Thats a perfect 10 for nearly everone that uses a forum. I rate mine 10 so anything with better componentry, looks, frame ect gets 10 as well.

If I saw it with the Mr Control Guide I would say 10 out of 10, but with out and seriously, I would give it a rating of about, 8.5 - 9 cause it has a hard factor written all over it. Love your work dude, keep it up.

18-06-2003, 10:17 PM
what type of ride do you have tjumper? i'm sure my bike ain't a 10, but i feel realy special now
ive put the mr control chain guide on, all i need to do is take a photo of it. that chain guide has done me a lot of good, save my arse a few times already: thanks goes to riggs 8)
My only suggestion would be 3pc cromo cranks, or RaceFace NS's... the Truvativ ones don't tend to hold up well.

Bike looks nice Peachy. I don't think it needs anything changing at all really. maybe a new wheelset but if there's nothing wrong with the old ones.......why bother ? I'd prolly rate it about a 7-8 but whats really important is what YOU rate it. Your the one who rides and enjoys it. So what rating do YOU give it ?

haha thanks dudes for your positive input, you make me feeel SOOOO special 8)
Gutty - yeh i'm thinkin about changin the wheelset, but i reckon the rims are way strong, all i reckon that needs changing are some hubs
when i head to bali i reckon i'll buy some funn hubs, funn handlebar and stem, and a funn seat..... and i'll have a FUNN TIME.. AHAHAHAHHAHAHA I"M SO GOD DAMN FUNNY

they are 210 here
my stems a Funn Hench-Men and the bars are Funn Full-Ons. I'm pretty sure that ashgrove have the bars for about 49 or so and the stems i though about 50. I could be wrong but its worth the call. There number is 33660379

madcore..
even though i didn't get that many suggestions for what to upgrade i've come to an agreement of the following things:
1. New stem
2. New seat post
3. New seat
4. New tyres
5. New hubs (if i have money left over)
any other things i should consider upgrading?
andrew

what year cranks are they? if they're 02 i'd start thinking about upgrading. nice bikee tho 8)

20-06-2003, 01:50 AM
hey andrew, thanks man that bike has taken me so much to get :D
the cranks are 2001 i think, they are already pretty fucked. but when i get to bali i'll see how much cranks and a new bb are
<------ this will be my 400th post, i'm so proud... i wanna be like socket   (just joking)

20-06-2003, 01:52 AM
hmm i might be going to bali later this year, is there lots of cheap biek shit?
peachy
20-06-2003, 01:53 AM
oh hellz yes, if u do end up going tell me when u'll be there and i'll take you around. i'm there 2-3 times a year.
bike parts are VERY cheap, well some parts are cheaper, some are more expensive. i've so far bought an XT rear mech for $50, funn souljam pedals for $50, XT hubs for around $50 for both front and rear and HOLY SHIT are stickers cheap, like $.10 each.
mate i reckon you've got the best brakes ever! Avid mech's are so good! light and extremely powerfull. My Avid's have gone through 3 frames and are the only original piece of equipment hasn't been replaced since i bought my first ride in 2001.
I'll give ya ride 8 out of 10. If all the stuff ya got on ya bike does wat u want it to do then its worth 10 man

Peachy, a well deserved 8/10. similarly to me your bike looks smooth and it prooves you don't need all the latest and greatest gear to get out there and ride a sweet looking and performing (i'd imagine) rig.
peachy
20-06-2003, 06:17 PM
yeh thanks fellaz for the ratings. the bike is pretty good, it rides pretty well downhill and jumps well.... the only trouble i have with the bike is pulling a wheelie and manuals, i think the front end is really heavey or something.. or maybe i just suck and should practise more :)
Dam0 - yeh mate the brakes are awesome, they preform like a dream
