MT Macedon

Is there much in the way of DH Trails or singletrack at MT Macedon?
If so where?

Well, where abouts?

I heard about a trail starting at the cross......

Ok, I'll be more a little less vague. There is a walking track that runs most of the way around the mountain between 3/4 the way up and the top. 90% single track 10% narrow fire roads.

There is also a walking track that runs off the side from the cross down towards the Macedon town ship. The top 3/4 is single track, tight, steep and plenty of fun, it then crosses a road and you take off on a fire track for the rest, fast with a few bank corners. All up I'd say there would be 3-4km of dh. It drops from 1000+ meters to about 450 over that distance.

There is also a track off Mt towron (just to the east of the Mt Macedon township) it shorter and less fun if you ask me, but some like it. (can't shuttle run this one though)

Best bet is to get a parks Vic information pamphlet of Mt Macedon it has all the tracks on it.

Its nearly unrideble it the wet though.

There not offical bike tracks they are walking tracks.

i got a pamphlet today, havent been riding up there yet, still want one or two people to come check em out with me. looks like alotta track and i know which one matt was tlaking about now.
