Commencal have jumped on the sneak peak bandwagon to show us some of their lineup for '05. One thing is for sure, with prices like these we're bound to hear alot more of Commencal in the next 12 months.
Check it out here ('/page.php?p=8e9742').

That supreme DH has to be the buy of the year. 6k for the bike that spec!!
Not only that, it's also one of the sickest (stealth) bikes I've seen to date...

Doesn't seem too bad at all. Still around the Norco price range etc as well though. Looks like they're making alot of their own components, hence the good price.
Bloody Hell, $6k.

6k is nutz cheap. If I can't for some reason get me a sunday next year, I think the commencal will be my next option... very good deal!

Division One is importing Commencal.
Nope its all in Aussie Dollars so get saving boys and girls.
Here is the hard tail info you wanted.
The Absolute AL 4x/dirt jump hard tail.
You get a frame that has a stainless steal insert in the head tube for strength the ability to run QR or 12 bolt up rear wheel. Sick geometry, Sun Single track rims, Truvativ Hussefelt cranks, Hayes HFX 9 brakes, SDG seat, Sram drive train, Hutchison tyres and a Mantiou Splice Elite fork all $1700.00 And its gold personaly i think there should be more gold bikes.
For more info on Commencal bikes or where you can get them contact division1@mail.com or read Clict Magazine.
Also let me know what kind of bikes you would like to in 05 that are not in our range sneek peak. This is the point where the public gets a say in what bikes come into Australia.

steel hardtail! so nice...

Cheers for that kalem, but what am I missing here? If that insert is "offset" to allow for +/- 1 degree when turned through 180 degrees doesn't that only allow for 2 positions overall? Obviously the insert can't be adjusted to 90 degrees either side because then the offset of the insert would kick the front end out to the side.
So unless I am missing something and have just made a total twit of myself then it really only has 2 positions (not 3) with a two degree offset either way and the zero degree offset is actually impossible.
Waiting for the flack.

I think you are right Grip. Unless you can take it out all together?
UNLESS!! The housing is eccentric to compensate the eccentric of the sleeve at 90deg??
(Haven't thought about that enough to think if it were possible)

Maybe it comes with a variety of inserts you can choose between? I don't know, just throwing an idea in the mix

Did anyone find the rear suspension travel?
And how hard would it be to change the 888s to 8" travel?
lotec

i think they wanted the 888s as 7" or they wouldnt have specially ordered them that way its not like they're "cheaping out" or anything :P i wanna kno how much rear travel!

Possibly they mean you can rotate it 180 degrees as it is, giving two possible adjustments, as well as completely removing it and inserting it upside down... I doubt it though, that's a pretty wack way of doing it.
you can get different inserts Grip, so each insert has two different settings. Very nice bikes.... You thinking of do after market mods Grip??? i guess it would be possible?? It's a very good idea, i cant believe they did'nt put this option on there hardtail. I wonder if they patented it?

Its got 8 and 1/4 of botemless travel. If you ran an eight inch fork it will still work fine you will just have a slacked head angel higher bars and bb.
As for the insert well its just that the gold one gives you = and - and there is a silver one that does nothing giving you a 66.8 degree head angel. its also in the big hit trail bikes caleed the suprem 6 range. Tim how does a steal insert in the head tube of the hard tails sound for when you are flipping you mad man.

I love it. If Ben ever got back to me about the Pricing it'd be even sweeter. I'd have that DH frame in a flash, i have a thing for French bikes.
Hehe.. Benny, that sounds pretty good..... it just you have alot of people using hardtails for different things these day's Trials, DJ , DH, Street and throwing themselves of high things to flat. If you could change the head angle on them it would make it easier to use the one bike for more than one or two of these. Just an idea...... the clamps look pretty damn sturdy so i dont think it would reduce the strength at all. I've found my perfect jump bike, i just hope it can take crashing flips...... but if i hadent i would buy one Benny..... lets just see how good the new Yeti DH is.... the Supream DH looks very fine.

More progresive pedals better corners with ease and is alot lighter. Slacker headangel and isnt as long wich i like alot more but dont get me wrong the turner was a great bike i personaly think the Commencal is better and when you look at the price you cant go wrong.
As for Turners dont buy over seas support local industry.

How much is the Supreme DH frame?
Anyone know the TT length on the DH frame cos their website doesn't have it?
Can it run any chain device or just that ugly Roox thing? I'm pretty sure it can but may as well ask.

that adjustabloe geometry in the headtube is an awesome idea and as been said it would be awesome to put that in a hardtail, id buy one for sure

$2700 for frame.
What size did you whant to know about the top tube length?
Yea pritty much any chain guide will fit but the Roox one is made form the bike and the top bolts to the frame.

***whistle*** Nice price.
The smaller of the two (?) sizes is most likely for my height.
Yeah the Roox's are supposed to be pretty reliable and quiet as but all the other kids will make fun if I don't have an E.13...
When are they available and do we order direct or through bike shops?

Its got 8 and 1/4 of botemless travel.
Website (www.commencal.co.uk) reckons it's got 7".
I still want one though...

Thanks for that Tim, although I did read somewhere about 3 setting for head angle (not two)... and three seems like an odd number if they're using the removable insert system.
Very nice bikes.... You thinking of doing after market mods Grip??? i guess it would be possible??
Tim
Don't think so mate. Haven't even thought about it, but off the top of my head I can't see how it would be workable at ALL on a standard 1 1/8 headtube and MAY be possible on a 1.5 if you dropped back to using 1 1/8 forks on it.
