the best track would have to be hursty, and u can even train there!! and its a good track
Yep, look up Temple Ridge Reserve in the melways, that's where the Hurstbridge tracks are. Melways ref. 185 J11.
I'd be happy to show you the tracks say next sunday if you like Simo? Weather pending.
cool magool. might try and get josh, trev etc. to tag along so i can show you all how cool having you ass-end able to move is (see dual suspension)
I doubt you'd get them to go... it's however long into the city (45 mins or so for Josh i think) then another hour out to hurstbridge by train... and that's only one way!
josh dragged my fat ass that far out to rabbit hill the other day :P
Just cos you're willing to go that far, doesn't mean he's willing to go twice as far ;)

josh will go to Mt Dandy as it like 20 mins from him probly not even that
Yeah, Hurtsty is definately a sick track considering how accessible it is. It is also heaps better now with some track improvements that have been going on over the past couple of months (like a big ramp and some general work to keep it flowing on the off camber).
If you guys are going out there next sunday, me and a few mates will come out and make a day of it...
how do you get up the hill? im gueesing walk. I've only got the one 44 tooth ring on the front and i suk at the entire fitness/riding uphill thing so i ended up walking alot uphill at listerfield
Yeah its a walk, and its a pretty harsh one at that, there is one real steep hill but it is only short and then it flattens out through the pine forest, but the track makes good use of the hill so it's not as though it's one of those straight up, straight down jobs.

Wha? Last time I was there, there was only one decent size drop, and even that was only 4ft to tree-riddled landing.

I don't know if hurstbridge is the same but King Lake is only like 45 minutes away and that is mad fun, i was there today and had a ball
how long does it take to walk back up hursty?
Not long at all, 10 minutes or so? It's a short but steep hill... you only actually walk about 300 metres (the tracks are more windy though, make good use of the elevation).
exactly where in temple ridge does the DH track start?
