Just wondering what people opinions are of this helmet and is it realy worth spending the extra to get a full bravo/something else rather than the full comp?
full comp is flexy you can push the face piece and it moves. Full bravo on the other hand does not do this, full bravo has clip buckle as full comp as the moto style buckle. Full bravo is comfier than the full comp. Id go the bravo but thats me

the full bravo is a lot better helmet i have used them all but the full bravo carbon is light and has no flex it is a good helmet and better then paying 1200 for a troy lee helmet

bs. check again.
-=*edit: by that i mean the bravo does flex*=-
You need a bit of flex in the helmet so it will give when you hit the ground and absorb the impact.

Yep, I checked them out today and the full comps mouth guard was realy flexy. check the full bravo and it was perfect imho. I don't want my mouth peice to shatter on impact, or bend up onto my mouth. Changed my hold to the full bravo :D Thanx for everyones help. You have probably saved me some cash in the long run and some scary crashes!

was talking about this to a freind of mine who used to race moto (mostly superbike and supersport).
he was saying the new range arai helmets due out in '04 are a lot lighter and more flexible then the previous models.
turns out the blokes in white coats have realised that when you land on your face, you don't want a solid bar of helmet across the front to damage your neck and shoulders, but something that will collapse and absorb most of the shock.
so now the new arai road range will have a front section that will break apart and collapse in when you hit. the idea being that although you might end up with a busted jaw, thats way better than a broken neck.
guess we'll see what happens.

A bit of flex in the mouth guard is a good thing. A few years ago moto helmets had a reputation for breaking necks if you did a full face plant. But at least your dead face was still pretty. :?
Squid, stop being a bully! Did you get your post count just by picking on newbies?
