I'm surprised that doesn't happen more often with 6" single crown forks.
I saw a photo of a prototype Sherman 7" single crown. Seems a bit stupid really. If you're going to go that big, get some dual crown forks.
does this deserve the omfg title chewy?

Hmmm, nose diving would do that to most forks.
Woha, yea after that stunt any?/most forks would have been stuffed. Still deserves the OMFG title ;)

its called new alloys and shit, less weight apparently, looks more "freeridable' and easy to use. who knows why they are pushing these single crown more travel forks. come on 6 should be the max. its sad to see shermans like that though.
im confused. i thaught marz was makin the 6inch nect yr, and its not next yr is it??? ah well, anyway....i dont think that the 6inches is the problem with that breakage. if it was it would have been the steerer, or the staunchens that would have broken. i have never ever seen a break like that in my life!!
and there aint anything wrong with 6inch SC forks :) coz i havnt seen any break (with the cause being longer travel)
that would suck!! i would be very cut!

I honestly don't see how the increase in travel would have made the fork any more prone to breaking in that manner.
