windsor should have some mad doubles and a few table tops with some smoot 6-8 pak rythms.. all the jumps should be nice and smooth !!!

I'm not sure if any of the other people at the meeting were farkin.net types but if you were there, I was the tall guy who turned up late and didn't say much.

In a nutshell, some guys threw down a plan of what they'd like to have there, the council had no problem with that but they need to sort out drainage issues and possibly space issues. They pretty much want to give the riders what they want (nice of 'em). Councils main concern seemed to be that they stay in the loop over what happens at the site, they want to make it right now so it doesn't get changed without them knowing later. They didn't seem overly paranoid about safety issues either which was good.

Depending on what will fit it'll be 4 lines of around 4 doubles with varying difficulty and I think I saw some plans for a small circuit track next to them. Not sure how that's going to fit though. I think those trees are going to come out as well as the old concrete base for that crappy old quarter pipe. They seem happy to dump the dirt in mounds and then let riders shape jumps. If anyone else on these forums was there and can get a hold of some plans, post 'em.

Props to the guys that hooked this up, it looks like Windsor will be awesome (and will have a beginners line for wimps like me :D ).

When's the next meeting? Hopefully i'll be able to get there.

i was there today and had the idea of putting in some lights, like maybe bright streetlights or even smaller versions of ones they have at footy ovals (these could be $$ tho).
I know it would be hard to have posts in the middle and to the side of jumps but it's an idea.

BTW, i there's still alotta jumpable stuff for those who thought it was completely gone.

boonga
08-09-2003, 06:45 PM

ud know that if u bothered to read jay.

yeh thats what i though, im just going on what the council said.
it wouldnt take that long really with a bobcat, they should be able to make the piles in a day then all we ahve to do is shape them.
the dirt theyre using is $27 a tonne and thats pretty cheap so they should be able to make heaps of jumps, providing the can fit.

im guessin they would need pneumatic jackhammers or other shit like that to break up that concrete, from what i've seen it's pretty thick and solid.

Hmm, rode past it last night, theyve had the bobcat in, alllll the jumps are flat now, and the dirt n crap is all in one pile. All in all, the council has been fairly prompt about getting this far, hopefully they dont just leave it the way it is at the moment.
