Are we talking the council jumps, or the hidden ones? The council jumps get so muddy in the rain that you can't get enough speed to jump them

That's cause despite councils having engineers and trades that are experienced, they don't want to spend the time money or effort planning in adequte drainage and run-off. Watsonia jumps have the same problem and are in the same council. I've seen kids build jumps with more thought than them.

Thanks for that, I was wondering why some places flood and others don't :)

I seriously doubt Ivanhoe is getting rebuilt - the council think they've "done their bit" by providing the world's shittest jumps, and have dozed every other effort to make decent jumps. Ever.

I was down there the other day with Cindie (mtbdh_girl), and we were talking about adding a couple of things in (ie. not changing existing jumps, but adding some stuff. But if the council is going to do something about it, then I won't bother.

Perhaps I should give the council a hoy and see if anyone knows what's the caper? (yeah, that will happen the same day I call Manningham, Banyule and Whittlesea and ask whats happening about a new skate facility they've all been promising for 3+ years.)

I second that... they briefly tried to rebuild in the same place they got knocked down last time, but it just didn't happen.

Sources tell me (some XCer's that live near to the golf course), that there are some 'secret' jumps in Ivanhoe somewhere....totally different spot to the ones that were knocked down. 20" crew built 'em.

bobcats that sounds a bit farfetched and if you use a bobcat and damage trees they are sure to get dozed.

How gay is this? First the council demolishes the secret ivanhoe then they bloody sinpped the top of the gap jump and dumps a huge load of dirt on the table top and demolishes the snake pit at the bawin jumps aka the koonung trial ones.

2 things:
1) this thread is s old the jump info is irrelevant
2) no-one will just e-mail you the location of secret jumps unless they trust you.
