Please don't hijack this thread with other stuff. I'd like to get a list of riders in the eastern suburbs together.

So if you're in randwick, coogee, maroubra, kingsford, centennial park, bondi junction, or some suburb around that way, post something here.

And if you're not, then start your own thread!

I'm in Coogee. Have a look in Watering hole if you want to hook a ride up for the city on Wed or Oxford falls in 2 weeks time. I'm haven't been on either yet! Just got out of a 4 year relationship so i can ride as much as like now , fark her! It would be good to know of local riders . Good if you want to catch up for a quick thrash locally etc.

I'm with you, just broke up after about 2 years... I feel so motivated to ride now, and have jumped back on the bike (after not riding for ages) I now have heaps of energy, and it's a great way to clear my head!

Farking women! I was for ever trying to get out on my bike but she hated it and the whole MTB / X games interest . Got told to grow up (i'm 30) and stop wasting my money all the time. She'd rather us be wanking about posh city clubs , surrounded by dickheads and pretenders , spending a small fortune!
Anyway , all ends up roses. I end up with a nice 1 bedder , 2 mins walk to the water in Coogee , fanny everywhere ! The tax cheque that was going to be spent on paying for her mum to fly in from the uk went somewhere else and they are all attatched to my bike!!! Ha ! Nice new Boxxer race , and 8" rotor upgrade for the hayes and some 2.5 Maxxis Hookworms for some street thrashing. What a shame i was so looking forward to seeing her mum! Ho hum

So you ditched the bitch, landed in a suburb full of hot chicks, and souped up your bike? Fucken hell, you scored a bargain of a deal!

Yeah i'm kinda inbetween Matto & Kenso at the moment.
Just came out of 5yr relationship, the girl i was with had no probs with me riding but lifestyle changes brought me to the decision of letting it go.
I'm won't be in action for a while :( but when i am we'll definetly have to hook up :) . Haven't done that long set of stairs at the uni since the first ride on my stinky in sept last year.

RCOH- do they still do good steaks at the dog?

If anyone spots a black Cherry Bomb with a fat ass on it, give us a yell... or if any rides are happening let me know. Or drinking sessions for that matter.

I would rather eat shit off a plate than eat at that pub...(although i do drink there, but only because it is 2mins from home, AND the balcony in summer is very nice)...mmmm beer :D

I will PM you next time a ride is on (or TXT you).

Or check the watering hole for next city ride. :)

Got some pics of a quick ride around Malabar headland (south side). Stuck them on my private album, cos attaaching here is cumbersome and slow to view. Some virgin freeride waiting to be sculpted, but a little too slippery for me to stick in its current form, as the pics show. Let me know if you guys want to check it out or if anyone wants to do something with it.

cheers,

adrian.

Farkin hell man. I live practically at the end of Fishermans Rd.

Shoot us a PM if you wanna do some building. I tried getting something done there months back but only nitwit (matt) was available, and now that he's got his operation going on i'm by myself again.

The north side hasn't got too much to offer (yet) but caning along the old ammunitions railway is fucking ace. There's also a hefty amount of clay out there, which is perfect for jumps - have got wheelbarrow and shovel if you want.

Those big concrete blocks above the carpark could be used to make that embankment a sick drop in with a neato run-out at the bottom... was looking at it today.

Just have to make sure that the majority of the shit we build is out of the way of the moto riders who go up there (everyday) and rip it up.

hmmmmmm... keen enough?

p.s. Oh yeah - will hit up some uni sessions aswell, I reckon Jasco would be keen too.
But secuirty are arseholes so we'd have to be careful, as most of the stairgaps I've seen are up at the eastern end of campus.

nitwit
23-08-2004, 01:49 PM
Yeah Malabar has heaps of potential for drops & shit, i had some drops ranging from 4-8ft set up, wouldn't know what condition they're in now though. Also check out the bush up Sth Maroubra that has some ok stuff there as well. PM me if you want directions.

You have to build stuff where the Moto riders cant access it, otherwise it'll be rooted in no time. Trust me my mates have had numerous jumps up there over the years, and they all get screwed by Moto riders. There is a nice section of clay up near Magic Pt. that could be used for dirt jumps.

There a few good stair gaps at the randwick end of UNSW but security is pretty tight & they are arseholes (well the ones we got were). There is a cool double stair gap, a 10-10 leading straight into a 12-12 but just as we were going to hit security came. There are also two other stait gaps next to the library.

regarding south maroubra, i always found it ot be really sandy the closer you get to the beach but up behind the rifle range was a bit of fun. I haven't been there for at least a year though. Maybe an exploration mission could be on the cards?

Yeah saw a couple of moto riders at malabar, but didn't follow too far because there was the odd bullet screaming over where we were. you're right about the blocks too... They've been placed far too conveniently.

The only security I've seen on campus at night was one hot lady (rare), who was nice to chat to, but wouldn't let us sign a waiver...oh well. I know that 10-10 12-12 gap too... would be a sick landing whether you pulled it or not. a bit of a short runout with the garden in front and all though.

Might go back to Malabar for a decent look in about a fortnight, I'll post something up beforehand if people are sounding keen...

cheers,

adrian.

Hope this isn't considered a hijack, i am from Kingsford (moved 1 suburb over summer)...

Sold my FRM125 at the end of last year and am currently looking into a street rig. Trouble is i haven't really ridden much street. So basically wondering if there's 1 or 2 of you generous ppl out there would mind if I did a little tyre kicking on your bikes, just to help me work out what I want, as shops are often less than keen for you to take their bikes for a spin. Would be much appreciated... the 2 that have caught my eye, in 26 and 24 respectively are the STP's and rhythms, but open to other options. thanks,

Paul

PS: The intention is not to start a tangent on this thread re what sort of bike i should buy, but feel free to pm me with that kind of info.

EDIT: Just realised how old this thread is.... Hopefully someone reads it :/

Im i Randwick close to randwick junction and the D.O.G pub/hotel, love to go for a ride on the holidays i ride a kona stinky and looking for new downhill or freeride stuff because it feels like ive found everything around here and i also like to ride the bronte jumps but we will have to fix them up a bit i made the tabletops on the left side with a bunch of mates and some of the guys who originaly made them, they told me not to touch the right side but we can have the left side to do what ever we want. I was thinking of making a wall ride where the last jump is and lean it up against the tree but its a bit dangerous and a masive effort anyway pm me im also making heaps of movies, if made rock climbing ones with some sponsored climbers, skate boarding ones, bodyboarding ones and i want to make another bike one on final cut pro so give me PM im up for anything!

If you made the tabletops on the left, I really hope your not responsible for ripping down the 4th double on the left. I know it was rooted, but we were going to give it some kick.

STRETCH JP
30-12-2006, 07:41 PM
If you mean the the one with the bed and stuff in it we didnt rip that down but we did pull the bed out but only after it was screawed because we were going to fill it up betterand if you mean the biger of the two table tops we only filled in the middle of it, sorry if we wrecked you plan you can build it bigger and stuff because it is still way to small, we were going to make it bigger but we getting tired of building it up and having little kids jump all over it and people ride and not broom it fix damaged parts when they leave! If you want to organised a day of working on it i can see if can get some people down there to dig bring music and all that.

Ohh the right side:rolleyes: Yeah sorry we did rip it down, we didnt think any one was going to build them up because they have been left like that for age's. And it was covered in a shit load of weeds. Sorry if i ruinied your plan but it can always be fixed up, we dont mean to make any trouble, but the table top turnerd out alright:(
