Hi guys,
got a Kalamunda Forest/Darling Range National park loop planned for Sunday,
it's basically Fire trails, it's kind of a trail ride, except that it's just up and down, so walk up then fly down these technical, rough and fun downhill firetrails and single tracks. it's a loop so you never walk/ride the same hill more than once. total loop about 15km. should take about 4 hrs, with 1 person having a flat tire.
I will be taking my DH bike, as will others, and HT riders too. all bikes can be taken. We won't be riding up any hills... this isn't a x/c ride, it's like a bunch of DH runs in a loop kind of.
Things to bring, a bike, have reasonable pressure in your tires, the rocks are rough and the speeds are VERY high sometimes. Bring a spare tube.
Bring something to eat (like a few musli bars or something simple) 2 litres of water is advised.
Helmet is a must have, Full face optional but suggested if you want to move out down the hills. Knee pads optional, could be inconvience for the extended period but could be a good idea. I'm not gonna say body armor isn't needed, but I doubt you want it out there (until you crash that is LOL).
let me know if you'd like to come, my MSN is juls@rccars.com or PM me.
