somone on pinkbike had betd plates and monster on an 01 stinky like mine and its lasted months of whistler runs
Konas are incredibly strong mate.... that's why so many of them break :lol:
That's just asking to take the headtube off really.

There good bikes if they run the proper forks, but this is just like a hardtail asking to be equpit with a super monster

For sure. Horses for courses; Stinkys aren't intended for forks like that though!

BTW, IMO a 6-7" light DC fork would be fine on a Stinky but not that BIG THING......

Never mind the snappage due to the size of the forks. its the weight of them that will root him and his bike.
As soon as that thing goes airborne it will tilt forwards like a bitch and the rider will soon have ballies installed as padding over his stem and a snapped $1600 fork through his chest.
He can be a choirboy but the only prob is he will have NO LUNGS cause they got punctured by a fat aluminium rod! Hellllll Good 8)
Sounds like an AWESOME riding experience

Ya, but Monster T's have NO give in them when they hit stuff at non-ideal angles (ie if they run into stuff, 50/50 a jump or whatever), so they make the aluminium fatigue heaps faster.

i was thinking what gus said, but that's a good answer!
The difference in the amount of leverage on a headtube between a 7" and an 8" fork is pretty minimal; the length of the headtube makes a much bigger difference really.
i dont know if would snap or anything but it looks overkill

it would snap eventually, but think how strong stinkys are. air burdon has proven that at the redbull rampage. it would take a lot of abuse before it snapped
yeah robbie bourdon gives his a bit of a hammering but his dont have monsters on it
