Heres some brief info on our first major race to be held at the Barjarg MTB Park (our third actual event at the property) on 24+25+26 Feb 2006. If you can please include this in your news section of your mag/web site that would be great. We will also try to advertise the event between now in many forms of print media including local papers and half page adds in mtb mags and handing out flyers at every national round and state race we can get to. We already have started planning the race itself and have some major support already!!!!!
Samaria Mountain Bike Promotions, Victoria's newest MTB club run by Ben Watkins, Sam Steinlauf and Adam Moustafa will host one of Australia's biggest downhill races on 24-26 Feb (one week after the Buller Nationals) at the Barjarg Mountain Bike Park, half an hour from Mt.Buller.
The event will have $10,000 in cash and prizes, plus full catering and ammenities, free camping all weekend with entertainment friday and saturday nights and very quick turn around times for runs on their newly built access road to the top of the hill. The race track itself is one of Australia's best and most challenging with many multiple line choices for all levels of riders. For further info and entry forms stay tuned to www.smbp.com.au
