I really enjoyed earthed 3, especially the Chris Akrigg section.

Does anyone know if Alex Rankin uses film or digital video? Im thinking film but would be very interested to know.

I thrive on this video, IMO even better than disorder 6, i love the racing. Akrigg section is sick too, overall a high class presentation from rankin once again.

I would think that he uses didital, purely for the cost of 16mm, however the disorder series were, and still are afaik filmed using 16mm - big budget though.

FTR have got now do they? it was on back order last time i checked.

I think they are also now using HD digital video for the disorder series as well as 16mm.

Earthed 3 - dam good, but check out SUPER 8 -tony butler film, same race locations - with a better sound track - and better local sections(Kovarik) and with no random S*^t.

as posted in an earlier thread....

Black Pheonix Films are the Australian Distributor,

http://www.blackpheonixfilms.com/

I could not see Super 8 listed on the BPF site, but clicking on other vids to buy sends you through to a site called Bike Fanatic and you can find Super 8 for sale there.
http://www.bikefanatic.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/911?osCsid=239d648191ef

You should also be able to get it through your local bike shop by now.

Well I have finally seen Earthed 3 and what an inspirational vid makes me want to go out and ride not that I already want to do that anyway, I have also gained a new respect for the WC riders and there talent and what a sound track truly a European sound.

On the downside I saw one of the poorest pieces of MTB sportsmanship I have ever seen (on Film) the section of the UK NPS DH where that dude stomps on a downed riders rig not sure why this was in the film maybe to embarrass the offending rider....

The other downside was the lack of female DH action I cannot recall seeing any female DH action yes granted there was some female 4x action so what is the deal?

Thanks Alister but you could have said that Pushi have a couple of copies. I will also throw down best movie out this year, and Aussie made, big props to Butler and all the crew.
Sorry to Earthed 3, same old, they were sticking I believe to thier wicked format as the last 2 but move on.

Nearly every shot of the white commencal had anne caro on it, and there was a fair bit of her in at least one section, as well as a couple of shots showing vanessa quinn (?) but other than that I don't think there was much girl action.

Thanks Juzz, I could have, and that would have been of no farkin use to anyone except those who frequent inner city melbourne. Just trying to keep in mind that this is a national website....
