There's no point in racing if you're only there to race people you can beat ;)

They don't do it by gender + age or anything, they just go A, B or C grade.

Yeah you can practise first Alex, you can have as many runs as you like for a few hours. Last time I was there it was about $20 + day licence if you need one (eek... I think my MTBA membership has run out).

You sure that's not Trafalgar? Unless it's changed drastically, there's no big doubles at Bacchus... a 25ft table yes, but the biggest double is maybe 15ft.

It's possible that he was exaggerating a bit, there's a ~15ft double (more like huck to flat, the landing isn't great) followed by the big table.

For the record socket- I am not just 'there to race people I can beat'. If you new what you were talking about you would realise I have come last in almost every race I have ever done, except oceanias 4X cos I elbowed the elite chick over the top of the first berm. I still came a long way back second.

The point I was making is that I don't ride just because I like riding, but because I enjoy competition. So either way I won't race if theres no competition. If you have a look at chicks times in dh and compare them to the slowest men, then theres not much difference. So If i were to race Cgrade against just guys, I am pretty sure I would be left at the starting gates while they hit the finish jump. To me this makes competing pointless, as it is not competition, just a massacre...

Well, go and see. I guarantee you that you won't be the slowest rider there (cos I'm going! ) but I honestly reckon it'd be worth your while to enter.

As Shaun Palmer said, "If you don't have a positive attitude, you're fucked". Be positive :)
