Just a short note on categories
the hoped for categories are Men Under 15, Under 17, Under 19, Sport, Expert, Elite, Masters 1&2 and Masters 3+
Women Elite, Sport, Junior, Masters.
If the category is not filled you may have to ride with another category but will receive points for your category. I have attached an example below from a WSMTB club round.

I still make it 12, 8x mens & 4x womens, there are only 2x masters groups.

So MTNX is not included in the DH entry, meaning entering both events is going to cost more than the national series round? :eek:

Not the best way to boost MtnX numbers I agree, but that's the case for this round.
If you can't make it for any reason, the next round will be Canberra, April 30th.

Hmmm... I replied earlier and the thread has either been deleted or vanished in the board upgrade....

OK, I thought masters 1, Masters 2 and Masters 3 were 3 separate classes :confused:

Hopefully the MTNX track is still there.... KT had planned to doze it on Monday for reveg.

Weird race setup, might as well be 3 different races on different days ... nothing is interlinking (3 different committees organising it).

To my knowledge, Masters 1&2 are combined, and 3+ etc are seperate but don't hold me to that.
So far the track's still there, but as you can see in the big bold red in the 1st post, it's still to be confirmed.
As for the 3 different commitees organising it? There's only 1, with 3 co-ordinators. We all know who the real organiser of this event will be and it doesn't start with C ...

Yes 12 categories, but if not enough turn up we will implode them, less than 7 and they get moved and race with another category. We are trying to establish a separate sport, we finally have sufficient tracks to run a real series, lets show the nationals that 5 categories is not enough and we can fill them. Then we can start debating quality of tracks, once we get the riders.

Update: The race is now confirmed.

KT will be dozing the track the Monday after the race, so all systems are GO!
