A short note on categories
2006 will have Men Elite, Sport, Under 13, Under 15, Under 17, Under 19, Masters 1&2, Masters 3&4, Masters 5+.
Women will have Elite, Sport, Junior (Under 19), Masters.

What is going to happen to get more girls bums on seats?????

With the figurers for 2006 XC season of an average of 13 women at state XC race and 6 average for Elite Women the numbers have reached an all time low. 2005 18, 2004 19, the women are going to endurance, some are trying XC at club level, but virtually none are comming to State.

NSWMTB has increased categories in mountain X but womens's DH and now XC will need more riders until categories increase again.

That was my point.... I wasn't complaing about the number of classes..... it was the LACK of riders.
