I second the down ramp for the road gap but piss that generation gap off that is the biggest waste of time. And yes I do it

Down ramp???? It's only 3 feet high.
Ummm. Actually, a down ramp is being worked on. Genny is a fav part of track for many riders.

Have you taken out that little A-frame/Pallet jump before it? I think with that out of the way Generation gap would be more achievable and more fun...

It may only be 3 feet high, but its the huck to flat that is the problem? But if you guys are putting in a downramp that will be awesome it doesn't even need to be big. But your track is still kick arse. I don't mean any disrespect towards you guys because you do, do an excellent job

Hey daver. the pallet jump is there for a few reasons.
a) To get over the log.
B) It forms a water bar and diverts water off the track.
C) adds an extra challenge.
With out that heading into the genny what you have is a pretty skillless track.
With the exception of the rock garden and first switch back there are no other sections that offer a reasonable technical challenge so I think the track would be less with out it.
But keep the ideas coming. I know Skinny has big plans for the track later in the year. Not sure how much we can get done for the state race but we are open to suggestions..
As for the Road Gap. The lander is sloping down.... Ride smooth people. ride smooth;o)

clearly that just makes it easier and less challenging and hence "woop dee dooo". It's good to have something that is a bit challenging in race tracks.

Obviously you haven't raced at Thredbo.
$70 for Saturday and Sunday is quite reasonable by todays standards.

There are no private shuttles at state races.
Our access road is way to narrow to let people go at it willynilly

the geni isent that big... most of the lithgow young'ens smash it up easy. And as for removing the A frame befor it NOT guna happen, because if we did you would get way to much speed and over clear the geni to a flat rock surface. Not a good look.
Road gap to use the term losley, well its more of a speed huck to slite left corner.... the faster you go the smoother it gets.

The genny is easily achievable, most come in too hot and over clear the thing... Hit it up, you'll be surprised!!
so are shuttles provided???

Hey all.
Just a quick note to let every one know we've had a stuff up with our caters.
The mob we had lined up pulled out at the last minute.
I've managed to get someone else to cater for Sunday but On Saturday you are going to have to either bring lunch or head into town.
OK Rego on sat opens at or as close as we can get it to 10am.
Shuttles will begin as soon as possible thereafter.
Rego on Sunday will be 9-10.30am
There is to be 1 complusary practice run for all riders on Sunday.
NO rider is to be on the track without first regeristing and NO private shuttles will be premitted. Any riders disreguarding this will be disqualified.

I don't mind if the joint is full of freaks or anything, just that it's hygenic and I won't get molested by the town drunk whilst I sleep.

This gives the spectators a bit more interest and excitement as everyone at last years state champs (including myself) was pedaling around it in their race runs to get a cpl of splits quicker.
dosn't look like there's a quicker way around it this time.

This is a bit last minute.
I'm looking for a lift out for the race so I don't have to train it. I'm in the Eastern suburbs, But I'll travel to wherever anyone willing is leaving from. Will pay in beer, cash, bike parts (got a few of those spare). Won't pay in indecent acts, as too many have been done for free, and it wouldn't feel like a far trade.
Got a xs hardtail and the usual change of clothes to take.
pm me please, or laugh as I ride in with a full bag... Whatever floats your boat.
Cheers,
adrian.

Yes but there will be people working on the track so keep an eye out for them, slow down and get off a walk if they need you too. Not like the two morons on Anzac day who will be very lucky if Skinny allows them to enter.

219 riders regestered on Saturday makes it the biggest DH in this years series. Well done CTMTB.
Tracks dusty and challanging.
Brad Kelly showed us all how to do new the bottom jump, smooth as! A lot of riders are going totally over the end ramp.
Alice Minahan cleared the bottom jump.
Fastest speed today was 64 km/hr about 50 meters before the bottom jump.
