Hi Guys,

The racing season is finally here with Round 1 of the Sunshine Series being
hosted by Gold Coast Mountain Bike Club at Pine Creek rd, Illinbah this
Sunday 9th April.

This is the popular course where last years S.E. QLD championships were
held.

The Illinbah course is a long downhill and also downhill transport has a
long turn-around. To let riders have the chance for more runs the Club is
starting the Registration and Downhill practice earlier. Registration will
be open at 6-30am and practice at 7am. To ensure you get your runs in turn
up early. If you get there later in the day there is no guarantee how many
runs you will get. It is compulsory to have a practice run before racing.
Last transport shuttle will leave at 12 noon and then racing will start at
1pm.

Downhill entries will be available on-line and you can pay on the day. You
can also enter on the day. If you pre-enter go to the On-Line Entries queue
for a speedy registration.

Don't forget to bring your MTBA license/receipt or you will have to purchase
a day membership @ $15-00 on top of your entry form. Please bring a $10
note for your refundable number deposit.

There is some concern about the new MTBA ruling for downhill helmets being
compulsory with an Australian Standard or International compliance sticker.
This does not come into force until the 1st July.

Food & Drinks available at the track.

HARDTAIL - Due to the popularity of the class last season we have divided
Hardtail into two classes - Junior & Seniors to give juniors their own age
group to race against.

For more information, mud map and entry forms log onto our website
www.twowheelpromotions.com.au and go to the Sunshine Series page.

See you there all bright and early Sunday.
