hey ppl what do your think the about the kona stuff? and is it a good freeride bike and can take some big drops?
frame wise yeh i guess but the forks arent that heavy duty, being kinda xc forks.
ud be better going the 04 sasquatch, hydros and dj3's is what it has over the stuff

im a very proud owner of the 03 sasquatch and i was in an indentical situation to you this time last year.i was cotenplating the stuff and the other freeride hardtails out there and i chose the sasky. when i got the sasquatch and my m8 got the stuff and i beleive that i made the right choice, for heaps of reasons. And also the 04 sasquatch has triple clamps, hydros and is cheaper.i wish i waited till this year.if i was you i would buy the sasquatch beacause it looks better and the specs are beter i reackon.hope ive helped a bit with your question.

DJ3's john :D
I'd go for the sassy too, but im pretty sure there is a fair price difference between the sassy and stuff. The stuff seems like a great bike for the dollar, so far everyone that has em (on PB etc) have been overjoyed with them. If you can afford an 04 sasquatch, (DJ3, hydros, etc) get it - otherwise the stuff seems nice.
And dick -
The drop-off comps aren't XC forks, if you are talking about the 04 Stuff. They might be cheap, outsourced, taiwanese marzocchi forks, but i've heard they arent bad, and in Marzocchi's OEM manual, they are listed under the "Freeriding" category. Meaning although they might not have buttery italian HSCV damping... they will probably still take a fair beating (for an SC) before they give in.

hmmm im not sure but i think the prices are gonna be similar 1500-600? (i am likely wrong). ud best look at them and give em a ride but if u wait till its around the 2004 sasquatch would be odds on favourite to be the bike u walk out with goin on specs - mechs vs 8" hayes, drop offs vs DJ3, just make sure u like it though. i still love my 2003 stuff :D.

Dammit I've got those, although a guy at my work bought some and his are totally different to mine both EXR's but his have shorter travel arnt adjustable and have the air valve in the top of the fork.
I bought the 03 Stuff, i never even saw the sasquatch other wise i may have gone for that, i havnet really hammered hard but done a few drops to flat of tables and stairs and some little jumps and I love the way it rides

small word of advice, ditch the ditch witch they are crap and will die on you within a month or two. get some 521s or smos or twosix/four rims. i guarentee you it will be worth upgrading them.

o ok well stuff it im getting da sasquatch
For sure, get the sassy.
lol I thought there would be a price difference... but after checking prices:
Sassy and Stuff are both priced around the $1300 mark. The sassy will cost a bit more, (1400ish) but pretty much the same.
Sassy blows the pants off the Kona, way better spec for the dollar! I think you made the right decision.
So you gettin/got the green or silver? Some people reckon the green is crap but I like it, its err different :)

haha nar sry i dont have a pic of it been silver but iver seen 1 in silver and it looks good but green or silver eaither way u got a good bike...... for your hieght i would go M frame but if u really want to move the bike around tonnes then go the S but M would b the best
I think it sucks when companies have two or more different colours of a bike and only post one up. The only thing to do is to check your lbs.
Silver is okay, i mean come on, you know what thats gonna look like..
But norco sure is a little screwed with their colour naming, check the 04 shore pic, they reckon that is blue. WTF!
I know that, because i've actually seen the 'sandblast silver' one.
And for the 04 atomik, they say it comes in orange... well i've seen that, and its a super bright red. lol.
sorry off topic rant. ive a good mind to email a bunch of these companies one day and tell em to put pics of all colours up.
