SPECIALIZED P3

Im thinking of buying a 2004 specialized P3. Any thoughts? :shock:

ive got a 2003 one and its heaps good.
the parts are pretty much the same so u probably wouldnt regret it.
its got no dodgy parts so u can ride it hard out without changing it.

they are hella nice bikes i have had a run around on the 03 one and its awesome, i recommend muchly!

hey so do u rekon that the p2 is worth it aswell? cause i may not have enough for the p3

the P2 is a downspec of components, hydro brakes go to mechanical hozzelfellar cranks go to hussefelts and so on the frame remains the same

Yeah theres a big difference between the p.2 and p.3 id say go bikeless for that bit longer because you will be alot happier in the long run.

p.2 aint too bad. probly woulda been cheaper at 1st to buy p3 but i've built it up exactly the way i like (aerial chain device, dj2s, doubletracks etc) so depends what you want. if you are lacking $ the p2 is at least a half decent starting point. :)

whats the difference between the 03 P3 and the 04 (besides the price)?

the 04 paint is fckin sick.
the 03 chips and flakes of but the 04 is powdercoated or something...it feels really rough.

01 is black (?)
02 is orange
03 is chrome
04 is like a navy blue. i saw one at my bike shop and it felt really rough, i didn't like it

the chrome p3 looks sweet best one imo

oh and regarding the p3, it's a mint as bike, i would never buy the p2 stock but it's still got a good price, the p3 is just that little bit better, and hey, chuck on some monsters and a bighit dh frame and you would actually have an 03 bighit dh! except i think for the brakes, which are hayes nines...

and its the same parts except '04 of course.. but yer just as good and saving a shitload!!

well... all i no is that my p3 is only stock, but it can take alot of shit that i through @ it.. it holds up fine.. so get a 03!! cheaper n u save nearly $500 now.. so yer as i said be4 :lol:

yeah they are pretty heavy but i would get a p2 cos they are a bit cheaper but still farkin awsome

yeah they are heavy but i have ridden my friends p3 04 and they ride so smoothly would get it w out any hesitations

there not heavy at all :? sure the part build is heavy but try putting that on any other brand of jump bike and it will still be heavy....the frames are quite light and very strong

I've ridin an 04 P2. It was alright. It was a short frame, and i think the long frame would have been better.
