Nominations are now open for the inaugural Corpnet XC Duathlon being held at Sirromet Winery, Mt. Cotton on Sunday 16 July.
This cross country run and ride is aimed at corporate teams with the 10km run being split into 2.5km circuits and the 40km ride being broken down into 8km circuits, so that team members can have the option of participating at different levels. Race categories for teams of 2, 3, or 4 and solo entries are being accepted.
Redland Shire Mayor Don Seccombe will be firing the starting gun to launch to expected field of more than 250 competitors into the cross country course, which will traverse the rolling countryside of Sirromet Winery.
Organiser and naming rights sponsor, Scott Hartwell from Corpnet said, “This is not only a fun cross country event but a great opportunity for Brisbane’s corporate community to support their staff and families with a great day out. The more spectators, the better!”
Five dollars from each entry fee will be donated to the Queensland Cancer Fund.
Registrations can be lodged online at www.xcduathlon.com.au.
