Have you drilled out just about every peice of you once sturdy dh rig just to make it a couple pounds lighter?
I would like to establish whether or not dh'ers in general have become weight freaks....
I personnaly dont have any problem with the weight of my bike... its heavy, but for a dh bike its not that heavy... I don't race, but I don't like to give the other guys too much of an advantage... anyway... does it really make that much of a difference?
there's a point where you can have a light bike that is still strong, you just have to know ya stuff on whats the best part for the job. Lighter bikes are gonna be easier to ride, that's all there is too it. I wouldn't recommend drilling stuff out though.

anything feels good, if it's all you know, but a light bike is always gonna be faster, 35lbs is light man

35 pound is frikin light for that kind of bike. I'd be happy with that. I rekon 35 pounds is the ideal dh bike weight but beats me if it's acheivable without having stuff that snaps every ride.
