Pre-entry forms for the 2006 NSW State Downhill Championships at Ourimbah State Forest are now available for download.

Please note that you do NOT pre-pay, so PLEASE make the effort to print this form out, fill it in, and fax it to 02 4392 7609.

Please make the effort to do this as it will greatly help the organisation of this event, as well as speed up registration time as we'll have a seperate line up for pre-entries.

Download the entry form HERE (http://www.ccomtb.org.au/06_State_Champs_Entry_Form_DH.doc). (Right click > save target as)

Entry forms will also be available at the Club DH Round #5 - 16th July, & Round #6 - 6th August.
Payment can be made on either day and numbers will be issued on 12th & 13th August.
NO Day Licenses will be issued. Riders must have a current MTBA license.

Squid wins the prize for having the first pre-entry submitted. He gets 2 extra cable ties and a bright shiny star for his number plate.

So am I right in reading this that as a masters racer I only get to practice sunday?

If thats the case why should we pay 3/4 of the entry fee for 1/3 the practice time?
It seems pretty poor to me, I mean last year a good number of the racers didnt practice saturday because of the expected crowds and then sunday was much busier.
If the trend continues this year those classes only practicing on sunday will be considerably disadvantaged.

Some clarification would be good,
Cheers Ed

Where do you get that from? If you enter the race you can practice as much as you like on Sat from 9-4 and Sun up until 12pm. I'm not sure where you get this idea that Masters can't practice on Sat??? The only restriction is that you must have a full MTBA licence, and this applies to ALL entrants.

'The form is ambiguous. Things may well operate how you have described, but that's not what the form implies. It says that men and hardtail categories are 'saturday and sunday'. It also says that women and masters men categories are 'sunday only'.
It says that racing is only on sunday at 1pm. This would imply, then, that people in the sunday only categories miss out on something on saturday. Since there is nothing except practicing on saturday according to the form, it implies that people in the Sunday only categories don't get to practice on saturday.
This is consistant with the lowered race fees for 'sunday only' competitors.

Ok, I see how you can read it that way, if you're trying to draw out long extrapolations. Perhaps they should have stacked the Sat and Sun, and Sun only boxes somewhere else.

It would be a brand new format if half the entrants were Sun only. I'll put a case of beer on everyone being able to practice both Sat and Sun Morn.

I thought I had made this pretty simple to read but it seems I haven't. Oh Well
The Saturday Sunday box is if you want to practise both days
The Sunday box is if you the rider wants to or can only practise on sunday and then you don't have to pay as much maybe I should I have put a line underneath it to sort the chalk from the cheese.
Sorry about any confusion but practise is open both days but without a number you don't practise at all.
Simple
