dude... did the GVBR a few years ago...

i swear it's one of the most awesome times i've ever had!!!

everyone gets up early and gets into the next stop at about lunchtime then u all muck around for the rest of the arvo and evening... last night antics were heaps of fun too...
i couldn't believe it... i went with a school group and still managed to do heaps of shit

u'll have an awesome time no matter what... meet heaps of people, etc.
don't miss out on it!!! i'll go again next year but i'm on schoolies this year

i was on an old avanti montari rigid mtb

it's fine on an xc bike but my tip of the day would be to put slicks, or at least semi-slicks on!!! it's SOOOO much easier to ride/ slipstream!!! i didn't and i certainly felt it when trying to keep up with the guys on road bikes!!

shout out if u need any more info

my bro will bve on it this year and he's just got a pair of specialized fatboy slicks... i had a ride and there is so little rolling weight!! it's really amazing

Mate slap some slicks on the stinky and take that. I have done two gvbr's and you will have a ball. I run 2.1 slicks on my 03 Stinky when I ride it to work and it flies along

yeah i'm in melbourne

the number of hills, etc. depends on the route... it's a different one this year to the one i did (i did great ocean road)

everyone usually gets up early (like 6am... but trust me you won't notice it it just feels natural to do except if u had a big nite the night before ;) )
then u usually ride til about lunchtime and goof off for the rest of the day
