Hey guys,
I'm buying a BMX, and have about $800 to spend. I have narrowed my search down to these 2 bikes and was wondering which would be better?? I know the Dayton is more of a street bike than the Flow, but I'm sure a tyre change would fix that. Long story short, DK Dayton or Fit Flow??? I will be doing DJing and having a go at techy street like grinds, hops, manuals etc.
Cheers,
Will
P.S. If you know of a bike in that price bracket that is on par with these bikes, don't be afraid to suggest it.

definately the flow man
I got a Fit flow about a week ago. Its well worth the money, with the brake caliper (tektro) and maybe the bars being pretty much the only things I would change over the next year or so.
It rides well, VERY SMOOTH! Being more of a dj bmx, I find its not that easy to manual, but otherwise its also great for street. Good bike, looks great aswell.
I haven't heard too many good things about the dayton though, some of the guys on ozscene were saying that its extremely heavy, I myself haven't ridden one.
So I would go the Fit.
Edit: as you said, you also like to do techy street. Fit flows have a 20.75'' tt and im not sure about the daytons but I assume they have a smaller length because they are more streety. It really depends: do you prefer dj or street more. Make that decision and look at some reviews on ozscene etc. Have a look at the wethepeople addict 2007 aswell, looks nice. And have you looked at the flow street or is the fact that it has no brakes out of the question?

Yeah, that isnt that much of a problem, as I like DJ more, and would be learning the street stuff as I find it extremely hard to do any of that on my heavy as sh!t STP. Got a retail on the WTP??? Oh, no brakes is def out of the question as it is a 30 min trip along a main road to get to my local DJ's and cars always pull out without looking and stuff.
Cheers everyone for all the quick responses and help!!
Will
Wtp addict is about $710 including postage on strictlybmx.com. Have a look there if you haven't already. I got my flow there, they are very reliable and I got the bike within 2 days of ordering.

now that i dont understand:confused: , why buy two of the same bikes just because one has brakes and one doesent, why not just buy one with brakes and not use them, that or take the cable off if it gets in the way when you dont want brakes?
it just seems like a waste of $900:p

cuz the brakeless bike has a weight figure of like 11.5kgs and the brake version he has is stock for the skate park which is like 13kgs. the brakeless 1 is wicked for street he recons lol....yes waste of money i think 2.

daytons have a better spec than flows. daytons have chrome rims, cassette hubs, dk chopstick cranks
flows just have nice geo, the rest is ok, but no where as good as spec as the dayton
not to mention, the fit flow is the bmx equivilent of an stp

Thanks a million for all the help guys, I am putting a deposit on the Flow tommorrow. The only upgrades for the moment are gonna be a Odyssey Cable and a Odyssey Evolver (one arm blue one arm red  ) I was going to buy a Odyssey Monolever but then worked out that it comes with one *slaps self on head*.
Thanks again,
Will
