DropinAdin and Fuzzy

Who are you guys, do you ride, do you race, if so where? I notice that you both have thousands of posts between you, and you are both from WA but it appears you have no idea about whats going on.

I know this was posted some time ago, but have you guys found out the answer to your question yet?

Larry, I do not race yet, but I want to start to get into the Downhill scene around here, I will probabnly be going to the goatfarm (for the first time) this weekend. I have not been able to race because I do not have anyone who can drive me to the races as both my parents are busy.

I live in Morley which is north of the river by the way, where abouts are you?

if you have any specific questions on perth racing etc try the forum there

The other one is

www.minus6.com
Same deal as above ask for lifts to races, abuse people whatever.

As for 4X in Perth
I will start with saying there is two Dual Slalom tracks at Dwellingup short but fun, along with all the other DH tracks that Dwellingup has to offer its definatley worth a visit.

Over the summer expect a couple of intro days and 4x events up at chittering (40 mins north of perth)

4X corse is being built at the GF and when complete should be on next years calander if not it will be raced as part of a DH run. Unfortunatley events are not allowed to be held at the GF over summer due to a fire ban as it is too close to houses but as it is at the moment the course will not be ready for racing until next season anyway as we will need to wait for some rain. Although expect it to be damn good when its finished, tight spots to crunch everyone in and wide spots lots of places to overtake, its by no means like some of the 4x tracks though that are just a BMX track down a slight hill. Multiple berms on corners, drop offs etc

News on any summer races will be put on both sites mentioned over the coming months, the calander for next year is being made at the moment.

You can ride to the GF from Midland train station by the way.
Its about a 15min ride taking it easy but make sure that you have a couple of mates go with you so you dont get your bikes nicked. Power in numbers is the name of the game.

i used to do it when i was a young tacker with by bike and no real dramas to talk of, more of a nausence having to worry about it than anything else.

Certainly a lift is the way to go though, go up great eastern hiway and pull into the street about 200m past scott street. (its all in the road maps) i think its called greenmount close or something like that.

Once there you will see a white gate at the end of the street. Ride your bikes down that road (gravel) about 100metres and you are at the bottom of the many DH trails. Walk up to the top of the hill and that is where all the tracks start from.

I just saw in the videos section there is a clip of some guy crashing on the 'roller coaster' section of the track. Check it out to see the type of riding. (Although that is the wide open bit)

The start of the 4X is about 1/2 way up the hill on the flatish section where it is dirt rather than gravel.

Have fun
