why didn't you just post in your build up topic ? anywho instigators are too long it'll throw off your geometry. Try looking at the echo line of forks. www.biketrialsaustralia.com
sorry, now that i think of it, i dont know why.......
but what length would you reccomend (sp?)
I think the general consensus is around 410mm?
aykay said that 400mm would be best
Yes but what would aykay know :D
no seriously, 400 - 410 is perfect. You don't want suspension corrected forks.

Yes, AK qualified for the UCI worlds, he knows nothing of the particulars of trials bike set up....
I run 400mm forks on my Koxx Marc Vinco.... Most modern trials bikes are designed around a 400mm fork (or there abouts) I wouldn't go any longer than 420mm..... Ever
sorry to ressurrect (sp?) but.........
what if i can get brand new TUFFGUY forks for 50 bucks??
would they be alright for a newbie like me???

yes/no
Yes, cause they're really tough, like Cromo steerer and alloy leg tough
No, because they're short, i believe 380-390? short, kills the geometry of the Bike
$50 is great. Do it and see how they go. Maybe post a pic or give us some idea on how they feel and we can help.
:)
alright hopefully ill be able to get them in the next few weeks
yeah i was just thinking CMON! ITS ONLY $50!!!!
i think 1 or 2 cm off of perfect geo mightn't make a big difference

Not broken, just old.... and i got them for super cheapness :D
naw thanks ill be rite, rather spend 30 more and be safe with brand new :D:D:D
If you can get a set of forks for $20, do it. No matter their age. Thats less than a tyre.
Sell them to me Macbeth, everyone knows youre a skinny beatch that wont hurt them.
Well not as much as i would anyway. ;)
actually wait...... sounds good!

Yeah they are great.... The last set I had, i rode for a year then gave to AK and he rode them for six months. They were still great when some idiot stole his bike. My current set are still in good nic, but my mono trial brake seems to be flexing it a bit, but maybe that's my wheel flexing..... Need to try another set of forks to tell i think.....
yeah but still interested!!!!
please post up some specs of the forks
also, do you have anything eles i could buy - brakes...etc.
