Just wanted to let everyone know that there is one more Queensland trials event for 2006.

When: Sunday December 10
Where: Trials Park, Main St, North Tamborine, QLD
More info: Phone 0411 609 115

This is a brand new venue and a group of very dedicated club members have been hard at work building sections and clearing land.

I've attached a couple of photos to show a small sample of what we have built so far. The park also backs onto a little skate park which is kind of cool. Hope to see you there.

Tim

worth going to if you're interested in starting up, or giving Trials a go!

This Trials park has a fair bit of interesting stuff to it, nice and different

I'm going, even if it rains :)

(And oh Tim, after when you left, Don came by and got a TRAILER full of Plastic Pallets! it's awesome!)

Yeah he was just starting to unload them when I left, that is really cool. Did you make some more sections for the intro riders?

looks pretty fun I might come along to check it out. I've started doing some trials riding on a bashed up 24" crusier its really light but only has a back brake.

Are you on the Gold Coast? If so you should come out on a Wednesday arvo ride with us, pretty low key normally head out around 4:30 though sometimes we go at 6:30 instead. Give me a call on 0411 609 115 if you are keen. Would be great to see you out at the comp to.

Tim

P.S. That 24" cruiser sounds like a cool bike to start with... 24" trials is the best way to ride :)

yep Tim, the plastic pallets were for the Intro sections, looks like it'll be nice and slippery if it rains (more like it should be elite section then)

Um... as we usually hold our comps in a creek I didn't think slippery would be a concern :)

oh yep that's true too...

But it's still sort of slippery when there's a bit of dirt though :P

Hi Tim that looks pretty cool what you have at the trials park, I would be interested in coming down for a look one day, it is just a bit hard when i am like 4-5 hours away in Bundaberg, how often do you have the comps there? I would have liked to make it down for the december comp but it is just difficult... I mentioned to my friend who also likes the trials riding and he is sorta keen to come down one day too. How was the comp yesterday ? Many show up for it ? cheers, Jon

Jon,

Was a good turn out for the comp of about 25 riders (I think)

We hold 6 comps a year, and you can keep up with all the dates at www.expressivebikes.com (http://www.expressivebikes.com/bbtc/bbtc.html)
or check out the club forum (http://bbtc.proboards40.com/index.cgi), the new calendar will be posted there early next year.

Some of our venues have camping available and all are close to accomodation if you want to come down and stay. Hope you can make some events next year.

Tim
