This week's guest gets the prize for the worst formatted rersponses ever. But, the guy is 'freaky weird' (that was how someone described him to me when requesting he be interviewed), and he makes an interesting read.

Introducing "No skid Marks"

http://forums.farkin.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=53151&stc=1&d=1165221852

Who are you (name, bikes you ride, age)
Rod. I've only
got a hardtail at the moment, sold my Brooklyn to a
mate when I did my knee in,hope to get another Lahar
but I think they'll be selling to quick for me to keep
one so I'll get another Brooklyn.
You're only as old as the woman you're dating.

When and why did you become a member of Farkin?
Start 04, to sell stuff, devour knowledge, dispell myths and
try to help people have fun, make informed choices and
save cash.

What made you choose that username?
Turtle was used,and
nobody just didn't feel right.

Who is your favourite rider of all time, and why?
I respect anyone with freaky natural talent and/or
dedication.Lopes,Tomac etc.
What is something about you that few people know?I'm a
cyborg..

What is the most useless thing in your house?
Everything thats not to do with cooking, sleeping or my entertainment.

Why did you buy it and why do you still have it?
I can't stand waste so until I find someone that needs
it, it clutters my life. Most of these items have been
given to me.I have to wonder how long some of these
items have avoided the tip by getting passed on by
like minded freaks like myself, yeah okay whatever.....

What’s your favourite section of Farkin and why?
Normally parts and stuff to learn, unless something
else springs up of interest somewhere else then I'm
happy there. Off topics always good.
What is on the desk you log onto Farkin from?My sore
leg,bills,spokes,hubs,chocolate,multiple unfullfilled
things to do lists, and a pen.

What’s your job, and the most interesting thing about
it?
I'm pretending to renovate a house,painful and
unstimulating are more suited words than interesting.
I also sell a couple of Boutique bike brands, and do
some other random dogs body work.

So how long have you been ridding and why did you
start?
After a few bad motor bike accidents I figured
I'd die if I kept riding them so I got a MTB in the
early 90s,had a few brakes from it in the early
years, but I can't stay away from the medative affect
of flying through the bush like an animal on the hunt
or getting hunted, the zing, the lack of concsious
thoughts.

http://forums.farkin.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=53153&stc=1&d=1165221852

If you race, do you prefer small local club races or big national rounds?
I rarelly race,I get more runs if doing it
with mates and it's more fun competing against the
devil you know.My competiveness is mainly agaist my
own demons though,I don't really care about what
others do.Most of my mates are faster so that helps to
push me.
Both race types are good for their reasons, great to
see the pros smashing it up,but also good to have the
fun low key event with similer skilled riders.

Long trail rides in the wilderness or short stints on your local trails?
I like doing the od epic but genrally just
sessioning a DH track.

Mac or PC?
I have no idea to be honest,I went Mac and
can't fault it.

Whole Milk or lite?
I'm only 65kg so I don't have to
worry about my weight. My brains running in hyper drive
and consumes everything I eat.

Last time you were approached by the police?
Hmm driving home after drinking, close to the limit the
other night and a cop passed me in a Dejavu spot where
I was getting tail gated a few years earlier,I gave
the tailgater the finger for at least a minute only to
see the lights come on."How are you this evening sir?"
I'm pissed off at being tail gated"
Breathe into this, blah bla they let me go.
As a youngen I got aproached on two different
occasions while quietly listening to my walkman, they
were just the random hassle the young guy
confrontations, but once I was listening to Cop Killer
by Ice Ts try hard band and another time listening to
Fuck the Police. It was quite bizzare, I'll stop now.
Last time you wished you hadn’t said something:Every
second word,but I like the reactions,I guess it's
early tirrets.

What are your plans for Christmas?
Hopefully get the family thing over with, see some mates then spend some
time riding the empty streets and pretending that
armegedon had come.Best day of the year for me in that
regard.

Who would you love to see become a member of
Farkin?
All of the bike designers and some more pro
riders.
You've owned a fair few bikes, what are the best bikes
you've ever owned? I combined two different model
Craftworks together with my own links and had
9+inches,low bb,great bike. ATX1 with 24" wheels.
Balfa BB7. Brooklyn Racelink. Orange Hitman(current).
Balfa Belair. and of cause the Lahar,it's as close to
perfection that I've come(pun).

http://forums.farkin.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=53152&stc=1&d=1165221852

Best and worst MTB moments?
A few week ago was my peak for both. Got my license back after a two year break.Got a new Hilux with perfect rack made for five
bikes(five seats)no ropes needed,just chuck them
in.Had the best two DH bikes I've ever owned or
dreamed of,but Tore my ACL and had to get a knee
job,no DH for six months.

The latest you’ve been up riding?
Spent the night lost in the bush once, talk about epic.

What would you change about mountain biking?
Hmmm I'd ban advertising for a start, then it would just be
racing results, possibly make riders change bike brands
every few races or something like that to prove the
bikes performance. Make the race bikes have to be used
for three seasons, something like that anyway to prove
the bikes design and reliability, would also stop
lightweight race only bikes being used.

How do you see mountain biking changing in the future?
Lahar,it's here now. the only thing to make it better
would be a lighter race geared only gearbox with
paddle shifters. Can you hear me Santa?
Worst MTB related injury? I'm living it now with this
damn ACL.

When will you stop riding?
I'd say I'll just slowly tone it down to just trail riding but I don't see
myself stopping unless it becomes impossible.

Any other hobbies or sports you do?
I love snow skiing,it's very similer to MTB for me. No real
hobbies apart from bikes. I collect Joker cards,if
anyone wants to send me one then PM me for my address.
Talking about yourself really is weird.

There ya go - a funny guy really.

My favourite line from NSM has always been "I've sold hundreds of items on this site without them, so no, I'm not taking pics!"

Good read, good bloke, good deals in the for sale section.

Nice one guys, shame about the injury.......
I agree with your thoughts on banning advertising on riders during racing, it would change the whole idea of racing for results that will impress sponsors. Good call ;) .

Nice one Rod. I've still got that D8 you sold me. Pity about the busted ACL. Good to see you finally got Blue Mountain Bikes up and running definately can't fault you on the brands you're carrying.

The price is fictional,so are half the titts in the mag.
I have no idea how some of you guys have such massive post counts. I thought i was bad and I believe I only post when I have something to say, excluding this post.

Should have been Monday, I'm waiting on the slacker to get me the answers so I can post it up. I'll be unable to do anything until next Monday night if he doesn't get them to me by, well, now.

This one, #23 if it ever gets done, will be the last for the year.

I do appologise for the lateness, I can at least say it's not my fault!
