I just wondered if anyone was interested in making an idiot of themselves and making a team up to compete in the FTF maxxis 8h enduro- on dh bikes (dual susp). I was thinking it would be a laugh for a team or two to represent farkin and dh rider's at this event... let me know if your interested. Ist is being held at the end of Jan at Whittlesea from 9 am to 5pm.

It's on the 31st of January.

I've already got a team though.

Doing it on DH bikes will be a hard ride, if I've got mine built by then I'll take it for a lap or 2 in support.

There's another enduro the following week, 7th Feb.

It's all night riding though.... should be interesting.

Count me in, we were goin to do the same thing for the 24 hour race at Redesdale, but didnt get around to it. PM message me with more details if you can, but keep a position spare for me!!! It will be quite a laugh in full amour, fullface helmet and a stinky DEE-LUX!!!

due to a duty of care issue we are not allowed to ride in full armour...

yes i know it will be hard on a dh bike but not really much harder than a single speed!

socket- i challenge you to get together a team and enter on bmx's!

i wil get hold of an entry form and other details- teams are 2,3, or 4- we are nto eligible for the 'corporate 6'!!!

I might be in on a DH bike anyway. I don't think you can race BMXs cos rules state that your wheels must be 24" or more, don't they?

Dont laugh, if your on a hardtail after about 3 or 4 hours of rocks/bumps/roots trying to impale your ass with the seat, you'll be wishing you was on a DH bike. :P

Steve from our team at the Kona 24hour rodde his Crafty FRM125 (?) around during the night, and a few day laps too I think, aparently the DH runs were a hoot, I know they wereon a HT. :P

A couple of guys were doing laps of the Mont 24 this year on their Banshee Screams - one with Monsters the other with Super Monsters.

Knowing them, I can say with confidence that they are fairly insane though.

Okay, I am in the process of gathering more info- can any one who is SERIOUSly interested in unseriously riding their Dh bike pm me and I will get back to you. teams are of 1.2.3.4 or 6 ...six is a corporate category though and i am still trying to find out if i can wiggle us into this one on a technicality.

Ok I have entry forms. The entry cost works out at $30 per rider, plus more if you need a day licence...

If you want an entry form you can email me and i will send it to you or they will be up on the ftf site in a week or two.
